Love yourself as Jesus Loves You

Love, we seek it all the time. We want to love and find someone to love us in return. Sometimes we want to be loved so much that we accept less than what God has for us in fear that nothing better is coming. This is of course lies of the enemy. WE can’t receive love if we don’t give it, and I mean give it to ourselves just as much as to others.

God wants us to love ourselves as He loves us. We are not to be a punching bag for ANYONE. If you my brother or sister are in a relationship and find yourself emotionally or physically beaten, I pray that God will give you the strength, the self-love, and the self-respect you need to walk away from that relationship. Again I tell you GOD wants you to love yourself! He has not put you in that relationship. You may rationalize by saying “well she or he is really a good person; I just need to do better.” That my friends is satan talking, not God. The abuser will always blame you for their actions, always say that YOU need to change, not them. Remember you are gloriously and perfectly made by God. Let go of those things or people that are not lifting you up and prepare yourself for all the good that God is about to bring your way.

God made you perfect and the perfect mate that He has for YOU will love YOU as YOU are, with ALL your idiosyncrasies and “faults”. Don’t settle for someone who is more critical then praising of you. Remember what the bible says about LOVE in 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 (NIV) 4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

This is a two way relationship my friends. If you are giving this to someone and not receiving back, you are not in a Godly relationship. Let’s look at what the bible says about YOU. I picked the following power verses:

2 Timothy 1:7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

Ephesians 2:10 For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

1 Peter 2:9 But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light

These are great empowering truths that I hope you all will keep with you.

I pray that you all reading this will be encouraged to make the change.  Remove that person holding you back from receiving God’s love, peace and grace.  lanou to 1nal Version (NIV)and only you can fit it. ys say that YOU need to change, not them. He has drawn up a blueprint for you and only you can fit it.  Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
